What is your operating period?

We operate in three stunning locations in Greece, from April until the end of October, offering our services in the Ionian Islands at Karavostasi beach. Additionally, we operate in Halkidiki in two locations: Sithonia and Athos peninsulas.

What is your cancellation policy? Do you offer refunds?

At Explore Boat Trips, we understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, requiring you to reschedule or cancel your booking. In such cases, we offer the following options for your convenience:

  • Up to 3 days before the scheduled boat tour: You are eligible for a 100% refund.
  • Between 3 days and 1 day before the scheduled boat tour: You are eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Less than 1 day before the scheduled boat tour: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund.

Please note that rescheduling is subject to guide availability, and finding alternative dates may take some time. If you need to cancel or postpone your booking, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options.

What happens if the weather is bad?

While we strive to provide an exceptional experience for our guests, there are occasions when adverse weather conditions may require us to adjust existing bookings. In such cases, we will make every effort to inform you of any changes prior to the scheduled start of your trip. Here’s what you can expect:

  • We will discuss available options with you, which may include rescheduling for an alternative date or selecting a trip that is suitable for prevailing weather conditions.
  • If the conditions are deemed unsuitable for any activity, we will offer the following alternatives:
    • Rearranging your booking for a later date.

    • Offering a gift card that can be used for future bookings.

Which destinations can I visit on your boat tours and cruises?

Our boat tours and cruises offer the opportunity to explore a variety of stunning destinations in Greece. Depending on your chosen itinerary, you can visit captivating locations such as the Ionian Islands, including Paxos and Antipaxos Islands, Parga, Syvota Islands, and Corfu Island.
We also offer experiences in Halkidiki, covering Sithonia and Athos peninsulas, as well as other picturesque spots like the Diaporos and Vourvourou Islands, the Ammouliani and Drenia Islands, and the monasteries of Mt. Athos.

Are boat tours and cruises suitable for children?

Absolutely! Our daily private boat cruises are designed to be family-friendly, and children are more than welcome onboard. Our semi-private cruises typically accommodate small groups, ensuring a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The exact capacity varies depending on the vessel, but we prioritize offering ample space for every guest.

What should I bring with me on the cruise?

We recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, swimwear, a towel, and a camera to capture the beautiful moments. If snorkeling is part of your itinerary, you may bring your own gear or rent from us.

Is it necessary to have a boating license to rent a boat?

No, it is not necessary to have a boating license when renting from Explore Boat Trips. Our boats are equipped with engines of up to 30hp, eliminating the requirement for a license.

What are the different durations available for boat rentals?

We offer three different durations for boat rentals:

  • Morning Half Day (4 hours): 09:30 – 13:30
  • Afternoon Half Day (4 hours): 14:00 – 18:00
  • Full-Day (8 hours): 10:00 – 18:00

  • Extra Boat Insurance: Our 30hp engine boat rentals can be insured for damage over 300€ for an additional and optional cost of 20€/day. This can be decided on the day of the rental.

Our boats are equipped with robust 4-stroke 30hp engines, eliminating the need for a boating license and allowing you to embark on your adventure hassle-free. Ranging from 15 ft. to 17 ft. in length, our boats comfortably accommodate 5 to 7 people, ensuring ample space for you and your companions to enjoy the journey.

Do you offer safety instructions or training for renters?
