Our adventure begins as we set sail from Corfu, cruising toward Paxos. As we approach the channel between Corfu and Paxos, a breathtaking vista of olive and cypress trees unfolds, revealing the lush landscape that makes Paxos so iconic.
Lakka Village on Paxos
Our first stop is the serene village of Lakka, nestled in a natural bay on Paxos’s northern side. Unspoiled by mass tourism, Lakka is perfect for those who seek tranquillity. Here, you can enjoy a seaside coffee, soak in the beautiful surroundings, or explore using our Walking Map of hidden paths and local sights.
West Coast and Blue Caves
Continuing south, we sail along the rugged west coast of Paxos, where impressive rock formations and sandy beaches meet clear, blue waters. We then reach the famous Blue Caves, a spectacular marine area within the NATURA 2000 initiative, a protected network for biodiversity. The caves’ dazzling blue waters and dramatic arches make for a memorable stop, and they are a known habitat for the Mediterranean monk seal (Monachus Monachus).
Tripitos Arch
On our way south, we pass the iconic Tripitos Arch, a massive natural rock formation and a remnant of an ancient sea cave. This spot offers an incredible photo opportunity and a glimpse into the geological wonders of Paxos.
Antipaxos Island
A short sail brings us to Antipaxos, an island famous for its Caribbean-like waters and sandy coves. Here, you’ll have the chance to swim or snorkel in the crystal waters of Voutoumi or Vikra beaches, where vibrant underwater life and pristine sands await.
Gaios Villag
As we return along Paxos’s east coast, we make a final stop at Gaios, the charming capital of Paxos. Here, you can explore the village’s narrow streets, browse local shops, and enjoy lunch at a traditional taverna by the sea (lunch not included, but reservations are available upon request). From Gaios, you can also view the nearby islets of Panagia and Agios Nikolaos, which add to the picturesque setting.
